Areas of Need

Ascension DePaul Foundation supports the work of Ascension DePaul Services of New Orleans as they provide high-quality primary and preventive care to the community. More than 65% of our patient population is uninsured, underinsured, or working poor and pay for services through a sliding scale fee system. Based on the high number of individuals who are uninsured, the Foundation relies on the support of the community to continue to provide compassionate health care to all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay. We are currently asking for support in the following areas:

Diabetic Institute

One of our most popular programs, the Diabetic Institute, is a diabetes management program designed to combat the diabetes epidemic in New Orleans. The program uses a shared-visits model to give patients the tools, resources, and education needed to effectively manage their diabetes. A gift in support of the Diabetic Institute will go a long way in helping our patients live healthier lives.

Seton Medication Fund

Ascension DePaul Services of New Orleans provides financial support for patients who are unable to afford prescription medications. A significant barrier to good health for individuals living below the poverty line is accessing expensive prescription medications, especially for chronic illnesses. The Seton Medication Fund serves as a lifeline for these patients so they can take control of their health and follow-through with their care plan.

Annual "Keeping Our Promises" Gala

Help Ascension DePaul Services of New Orleans continue to "Keep Our Promise" of eradicating health disparities in New Orleans and providing high-quality health care to all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay, by supporting this worthwhile event. Our annual Gala is held each spring and is a great opportunity to support our ministry. Contact Erica Spruille, Fund Development Manager, to learn more about supporting the Gala through sponsorship and silent auction items.
